Seeds for Change
Upcycle Your Awesome Ice Cream Pot
The Mission: Zero Waste, Infinite Growth
Every empty Awesome Ice Cream Pot represents a choice to keep single-use plastic out of our landfills. With the Seeds for Change initiative, your sweet treat continues to give back. By reusing your pot and its built-in muffin paper liner, you create a living micro-nursery to grow a resilient, life-giving Moringa tree.
What’s in the Pack
* 1x Premium Moringa Seed
* 1x Sealed Pack of Rich Potting Soil
(Pre-measured to perfectly fit your 9cm pot liner)
Step-by-Step Planting & Upcycling Guide
1. Keep the Liner In: After enjoying your rich, premium ice cream, leave the muffin paper liner right where it is inside your Awesome Ice Cream Pot. Don't worry about minor trace residue of sugar or dairy—soil microbes safely break down these organic traces, transforming them into a natural nutrient boost for the soil without harming your seed.
2. Prep the Soil: Pour the sealed potting soil directly into the muffin paper liner inside your pot, leaving a little space at the top.
3. Soak the Seed: Before planting, soak your Moringa seed in a cup of clean water for 12 to 24 hours to soften the hard outer shell and wake up the embryo.
4. Planting Depth: Push the soaked seed gently into the center of the soil, about 1 to 2 cm deep, and cover it lightly.
Watering & Sunlight:
- Give your pot 2 to 3 tablespoons of water every few days using a spoon to keep the soil lightly moist (never flooded, to prevent rotting).
- Place the pot on a warm, sunny indoor windowsill where it can catch plenty of bright light.
Sprouting & Transplanting:
- Your seed will sprout and push its head above the soil within 5 to 12 days.
- Allow it to grow until it reaches a maximum height of 20 to 30 cm (roughly 4 to 6 weeks old).
- Easy Transplanting: When it hits this height, the muffin paper liner acts as a smart root wrapper. Gently lift the entire paper liner—soil, roots, and all—out of your Awesome Ice Cream Pot. Plant the entire paper bundle directly into a larger container (at least 30 cm deep) or straight into the ground in a sunny outdoor spot. The paper will naturally biodegrade underground, protecting the delicate taproot from damage.
Why Plant a Tree?
- For the Planet: Growing a tree actively captures carbon dioxide, releases clean oxygen, lowers urban heat, and fights single-use plastic waste.
- For Your Health (The Miracle Tree): Mature Moringa trees produce leaves packed with powerhouse vitamins (A, C, E), iron, and antioxidants. Adding them to soups, teas, or smoothies supports immunity, boosts energy, and promotes long-term wellness.
